Echinacea purpurea 'Ruby Star'

Echinacea purpurea 'Ruby Star'  is my favorite purple coneflower. The stunning flowers have deep reddish-mauve petals and orange-brown central cones. The petals are held horizontally. It was named Cut Flower of the Year 2006.

Purple Coneflower 'Ruby Star' won the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.  Drought tolerant . Hardy in zones 3-9.

Echinacea purpurea 'White Swan'

Echinacea purpurea 'Mellow Yellows'  blooms in a nice range of yellow shades including cream, lemon and dark yellow. The plants are vigorous and hardy, and they bloom all summer long.

Echinacea 'Mellow Yellows' is a  first-year flowering perennial . It was introduced by Jelitto Perennial Seeds in 2018.  Hardy in zones 4-9.

Echinacea pallida

Echinacea pallida  has narrow, drooping petals surrounding a raised central cone. This tall, graceful perennial looks terrific in the wildflower garden or the middle of the border. The pale mauve flowers combine well with other colors.

Echinacea pallida attracts butterflies and many different beneficial insects. Birds enjoy eating the seeds  Deer resistant . Hardy in zones 3-9.
