Applemint is a perennial herb with fuzzy, light green, rounded leaves. It's a fun mint for teas. When my kids were little, they were crazy about it for some reason. My daughter says it's because the fuzzy leaves felt funny in her mouth.

Applemint spreads aggressively by stolons, and it self sows. We recommend growing it in a large container. Hardy in zones 5-8. Deer resistant.

Sowing Applemint Seeds

Start applemint seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost date. Or sow outdoors in spring. Barely cover the seeds. Full sun to part shade.
