Pulsatilla vulgaris 'Red Bells' has bright red flowers in March and April. It's a wonderful perennial to plant with your spring flowering bulbs .
Pulsatilla vulgaris looks lovely in the rock garden or at the front of the border. When the flowers are gone, they are replaced by showy seedheads. The soft, ferny foliage is also nice.
This selection was introduced by Jelitto Perennial Seeds. In Germany, it's called Pulsatilla vulgaris 'Rote Glocke'. Also known as Anemone pulsatilla. Hardy in zones 4-8.
