Pulsatilla vulgaris Violet Bells

Pulsatilla vulgaris 'Violet Bells' ('Blaue Glocke')

25 seeds $3.50

Pulsatilla vulgaris 'Violet Bells' is a cheerful sight in early spring. The 6-petalled, violet-purple flowers with gold stamens look like a child's crayon drawing of a flower. The gray-green foliage is attractive, as are the ripening seedheads.

Pulsatilla vulgaris looks great in  rock gardens , along the edge of a path, or at the front of the border where the flowers can be admired up close. It makes a lovely  companion plant for daffodils

Pulsatilla vulgaris is native to Europe. Also known as Pulsatilla vulgaris 'Blaue Glocke', Anemone pulsatilla, Meadow Anemone, Windflower, Pasque Flower, and European Pasqueflower. Hardy perennial in zones 4-8.
