Chinese Trumpet Lily 'Midnight'

Chinese trumpet lily  is relatively easy to grow from seed, blooming the third year after sowing. The plants eventually grow to 4-6' tall with huge, fragrant flowers in shades of pink, purple, white, cream, yellow and gold.

Chinese trumpet lilies grow well in both full sun and part shade. They can also be grown in large containers. Hardy in zones 4-8. Click here for more  details .

Lilium regale

Lilium regale  was the first Chinese trumpet lily introduced to the United States. The plants grow to 3-5' tall with fragrant, trumpet- shaped flowers that are white with a maroon reverse and butter-yellow throats.

Regal lily blooms a little earlier than other trumpet lilies. It's easy to grow in full sun to part shade. It does well in large containers. Hardy in zones 4-8.

Lilium regale Album

Lilium regale Album  is the pure white form of Lilium regale. It's an heirloom variety, introduced in 1903. The plants grow to 3-5' tall with fragrant, trumpet- shaped flowers that have butter-yellow throats.

Regale Album lily grows well in full sun or part shade. Suitable for containers. Shown here with  Penstemon barbatus 'Coccineus' . Hardy in zones 4-8.

Lilium davidii

Lilium davidii  is a cold-hardy species native to Western China. The Turk's cap flowers are bright orange with maroon-red spots. They bloom in abundance on tall stems that bend gracefully.

Lilium davidii is easy to grow in full sun to part shade. Wonderful in containers. Hardy in zones 3-8.
