Cheiranthus allionii blooms in late spring to early summer with lightly fragrant , bright orange flowers. It is a self-sowing biennial or short-lived perennial. It's shown here with Viola tricolor 'Helen Mount' .
One of my favorite combinations is Cheiranthus allionii with white tulips. After the tulips are finished, the Siberian wallflowers continue to blooms into early June. The long-stemmed flowers are good for cutting .
Also known as Erysimum x marshallii. Easy to grow. Self sows. Hardy perennial in zones 3-9.
