Monarda citriodora (Lemon Beebalm)

Monarda citriodora is an annual herb with lavender to pink, whorled flowers that attract  hummingbirds butterflies  and  bees . The crushed leaves have a mild, citrus fragrance with a spicy oregano-like  fragrance  later in the season. It makes a good tea herb.

Monarda citriodora is a native wildflower, appearing throughout the United States and Mexico. It is  drought tolerant  and easy to grow in average soil and full sun. It  reseeds  where it's happy. 

Also known as Lemon Beebalm, Lemon Bergamot, Purple Horsemint and Lemon Mint.
