fragrant , lemon-yellow flowers that bloom from May to August. The large flowers are 3-4" across. They attract night-flying sphinx moths (the ones that look like hummingbirds).

Oenothera missouriensis is drought tolerant and easy to grow. Native to the southern Great Plains. Also known as Missouri Primrose, Ozark Sundrops and Oenothera macrocarpa. Deer resistant. Hardy in zones 4-9.
