Poppy 'Jimi's Flag' has single, scarlet-red flowers with deep purple at the base. The petals have feathered edges. Frank Morton bred this exciting poppy by crossing Danish Flag with Purple Peony.
Jimi's Flag poppy looks like a winner, and we will have more to say about it when our own plants bloom. I hope it's better than the old Poppy 'Drama Queen' , which has deteriorated in the commercial seed supply.
