Sowing Okra Seeds

Soak okra seeds overnight. Sow outdoors after the last frost date, or start indoors 5 weeks early. Sow 1/2" deep. Spacing 15". Full sun.

Okra 'Jing Orange'  is a lovely variety with reddish-orange, ribbed pods. It's not a spineless variety, so wear gloves when harvesting. The 5-6' tall plants lend a tropical feel to the garden with yellow, hibiscus-like flowers.
